2649174, They got a year out of him and flipped him for a better pick

2649100, honestly, he wasn't as dominant a figure as i'd hoped
Posted by thejerseytornado, Tue Apr-03-18 05:10 PM
and was going to get a lot of money. so the pats rented him for a year for a 1st and a 3rd and then turned around and got a higher 1st and a 6th for him.

hoodie stay hoodie'n

mitchell better actually prove he's legit this year.

2649108, Kept Mitchell in Dynasty, so let's hope.
Posted by Frank Longo, Tue Apr-03-18 05:49 PM
Then again, I also have Cooks in Dynasty, so I don't know what to think right now.
2649114, Damn i forgot all about Malcolm Mitchell.

Good point
2649137, 16.5 per catch, and made teams have to stay at a part

of the field and was nearly triple teamed all year. He played great, he made everyone's job easier.

2649186, the passing offense output was practically identical the year before
Posted by thejerseytornado, Wed Apr-04-18 09:52 AM
yeah, Cooks did that, but not well enough to turn down getting an extra first instead of having to pay him in a year.

Cooks + Brady were really inconsistent--brady couldn't find him regularly enough on long balls. a 57% completion rate? not what the pats like enough for that to overwhelm gettting the extra 1st.

its going to be interesting to see how all these moves pan out for them next season

I don't know everyone's contract situation but I can't remember the last time a NFL brought in a bunch of free agents/players through trade and it worked out

Cooks: last yr on his deal
Goff: going to get paid in a couple yrs 20 mil +
Donald: probably will want to be the highest paid Def player
Peters: will want a lot of money
Gurley: just finished his 3rd year
Suh: will be playing for one more big contract
Talib: dude is pretty crazy in general

it looks scary on paper so we'll see come the fall how it all works
could be issues with all these players needing new deals soon
2649112, You realize they drafted three of those dudes right?

yeah i listed those 3 guys because LA is going to have to pay them pretty soon

basically I could see potential problems with guys playing for their upcoming contracts etc etc.

I just see a lot guys that will need to be paid shortly + bringing in a lot of high profile player = could equal problems. We'll see, should be interesting

Donald, Gurley and Goff are the cornerstones of the team as of right now they will definitely take care of them. Most of those other dudes are basically rentals anyway.

Generally in football guys play for contracts is a good thing but then again in the NFL most people are playing for their contract every year anyway. If these guys can elevate the Rams to the Super Bowl they will have no problem writing the checks.

2649178, NFL needs an LA team to win now
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Apr-04-18 09:39 AM
fans in that city lose interest real quick when it comes to the NFL.

Looks like the Rams are all in on this year
2649183, yep, one of the local sportstalk dudes here was talking about this...
Posted by Dstl1, Wed Apr-04-18 09:48 AM
yesterday. He feels like the NFL is making sure LA has really good team to justify puttin the team back in LA. I don't care either way, because I was never a Rams' fan, but it certainly wouldn't surprise me.
2649180, why does he keep getting traded?
