Get on board and stop being a fucking hoe.

6-10 niggas with a 7-4 wingspan with those skills and fluid athleticism don't come around often.

y'all other laker niggas really need to check warren and truth, because they gon be rooting for BI to miss shots in the conference 2020 conference finals and shit.

that ain't good mojo.
2633204, Duke has like 2 players in the Basketball hall of fame..
Posted by Warren Coolidge, Thu Dec-07-17 11:46 PM

the Los Angeles Lakers are the greatest professional sports franchise in modern pro sports history..

BI is coming up playing for the Lakers....it improves his chances that he won't end up one of the loooooong line of Duke busts....

don't worry bout BI...

Magic Johnson got him...

let zeke go back to the knicks so he can harass some more women who look like Natrone Means...

2633206, Natrone Means shoots better than Lonzo, the next great laker sidekick

Your guy put up 9, 4 and 2 after a full rookie year

...and Kuzma is putting up better numbers in his rookie year than your guy in his 2nd...

but let you tell it, he's a superstar

LOL.

I haven't seen either of you disagree

if BI is a superstar to be, turned the tide, etc...

esplain to me real slow

why a rookie putting up comparable numbers to BI's rookie year

AND a rookie putting up better numbers than BI's sophmore year

ALSO wouldn't be superstars in the making, the LAL's future, etc...

I mean, other than they didn't go to Duke

?
2633334, Maybe because said rookie almost 3 years old, got better in college

Kuzma good. He ain’t BI tho. Most people who ain’t busy-bodies just looking for something to say know that tho.
2633338, Kuzma is older, and IMO will be more “limited”
Posted by DJR, Sat Dec-09-17 11:38 AM
I put it in quotes because I don’t know if that’s the best word, but couldn’t think of anything else.

I think Ingram will be able to do more across the board. Better handle and playmaking abilities both for himself and others. More versatile defensively. Kuzma obviously has a very high floor as he’s already a good player, I don’t think his ceiling is as high as Ingram’s though.

Lonzo has been given the keys from day 1 to run point and play 30+ minutes a night with very uneven results. He’s got a lot of promise and is productive in some ways, but that shooting is historically bad right now.

Ingram was brought along more slowly and didn’t really get the minutes and bigger role until later in the year. They were still playing around with Luol Deng at this point last year. They did things differently with Ball and didn’t bring in a stop gap veteran PG. Lonzo is putting up more “counting stats” because he plays more - Ingram’s numbers were up later in the year when he played more and they took the gloves off a little bit and gave him more responsibility out there.

I’m a Lakers fan who dislikes Duke and tend to find many of their players unlikable, though a lot of their recent guys I never disliked - Ingram, Tatum, and Parker - I’m confident that Ingram will least be an All Star a good number of times. I’m hopeful that Ball can get there but not as confident in that. Kuzma I think will be a solid starter level player for a long time.
2633362, Duke AgendaBot nonsense is the only reason. Nothing else to explain.
Posted by Cold Truth, Sat Dec-09-17 03:13 PM

If Zo or Kuz went to Duke basa would have a stack of sticky ass posters under his mattress as we speak.

Posted by third_i_vision, Sat Dec-09-17 11:19 AM

Basically I'm just in here arguing against his "fluid" athleticism.

2634864, I think they are about even
Posted by DJ Wade-O, Sat Dec-23-17 09:12 AM
With the exception of last night....I've seen every nationally televised game we've played. ESPN, TNT, NBA TV.

They ask Ingram to do way more, including play point last 6 minutes of the 4th. He's much more of a playmaker than Cuz and has the ball in his hands a lot more.

Kuz, is much more polished though and can score at a higher rate and more efficiently. Also, until recently, most of Kuz minutes and points were against 2nd units.

If I had to chose one, Ingram has the potential to be a much more veratile defender b/c of his length and athleticism.

That said though....i love them both. Game and attitude. Kuz plays like he knows he was supposed to be playing like this. And Ingram made a pretty good size jump this year.

2634865, Kuzma is just a natural scorer, averaging 18ppg, 50%fgp, 40%3fgp...
Posted by ThaTruth, Sat Dec-23-17 09:37 AM
as a rookie, he’s just a go-getter, always moving, always attacking the boards.

Luke has been trying to force the “point-forward” thing with Ingram since last year just to keep him involved because he’s not naturally aggressive and can completely disappear at times
2634867, Yeah, that’s all that really needs to be said
Posted by DJR, Sat Dec-23-17 10:10 AM
This forced agenda nonsense is going to be so played, lol.

They’re both playing well for this stage of their careers. I’m happy with Ingram’s development and think he’s on track to be an all star, and I’m thrilled they got a player like Kuzma so late. Ingram, Kuzma, Randle, Ball, Clarkson, Nance....I really like that core. I hope they can keep it together and let them grow. Add a knockdown shooter and a Center to that group and all the pieces to win will be there as their games mature.

Hart, Zubac, and down the road Thomas Bryant all might become players too.
2634873, The next great Laker is a FA...if we're being real about it
Posted by bentagain, Sat Dec-23-17 11:07 AM
What's up with Zubac?

Thought he should've gotten real tick last year

With the salary/contract moves for Lopez and now Bogut getting tick...I hope he doesn't get lost in the shuffle. Really like his presence in the paint.

LAL have a great core of young guys. Can't be anything but encouraged with Kuz and Zo's recent performances

The ball was really moving last night vs GSW

Really surprised by Hart too

BI's got NyQuil running through his veins (c). I just forget he's even on the floor for long stretches of game time.

But...they've been clearing salaries for a couple of years for FA '18

If we're being real...the next great Laker will be acquired this summer

I just think this manufactured agenda of pitting guys on the same team against each other to support some fan boy bull$hit is one of the saddest things I've seen on the boards

They can all be great...but Kuz still better...is an agenda I started in the preseason post and I'll stand by it until proven otherwise.

2637303, BI? nope, haven’t said a negative word about him. Kuzma either
Posted by DJR, Wed Jan-10-18 08:18 PM
BI is my favorite player on the team has improved solidly - FG and FT % are both up 5-6 %....if he can improve that FT % similarly a couple more times and get up to 75-80%, and become a legit high 30’s % 3 point shooter(on a good amount of looks), he’ll be a perennial all star. It will come down to the shooting with him IMO and this years improvement is a very good sign.

The month is way too young to say Kuzma regressed. Sometimes it’s just a couple bad-mediocre games, it doesn’t have to be some big picture alarmist shit.

Both guys are doing fine my man.

It’s still going to come down to how good of a shooter he becomes as to whether he’s a good player or a great one. There’s no excuse for the FT%.
2684712, agreed on the FTs...makes me sick

We can ignore the hyperbole and appreciate that a good, young player is continuing to develop and has had a very good month right?
2687331, At this point I'm comfortable with saying this dude is trash...

and will never be a star.

If he ever gets his head out of his ass he might develop into a decent role player but nah.

We should've traded him last year when his value was higher.

Kuz BETTER.
2687337, He’s pretty average.
Posted by Beezo, Sun Feb-10-19 05:27 PM
Trying to think of a former player that he reminds me of. I’m coming up with nothing.
2687343, 17, 5, and 3 and plays defense....and he’s what? 21? 22?
Posted by DJR, Sun Feb-10-19 06:46 PM
Trash is harsh.

Still think he can be an all star level player if he becomes a more consistent shooter. When his jumper on, he’s awfully tough to stop and he does other things well too(handled the ball, above average passer, defends).

Even if he completely stops improving(doubt it), he’s at least a solid starter.
2687347, Solid starter, just not #2 pick worthy as of today.

2687348, in THAT draft? He’s #4 at minimum today

Behind Simmons, Murray, and Hield.

And long term, I still think he’ll pass Murray and Hield.

I’m not mad at the pick or his development so far.

I know....the Duke fan did what he does and shot his shot and said he’s better than PG, so it’s getback time for now. But Ingram is doing fine IMO.

2687430, Let’s not get carried away now.

That's the problem, his jumper is off more than its on. He was supposed to be KD-lite and he's far from that. When his jumper isn't falling he's just another guy. His passing and defense are overrated IMO.

The main difference between him and Kuzma is Kuzma is a much better off the ball player. Catch and shoot and cutting to the basket are his game. Ingram needs to take 5 dribbles before he does anything.
2687398, you uncormfortable saying lonzo trash tho

2687428, That’s what makes this beyond weird. A LOT of Lakers fans..

will shit on Ingram. And not say shit about Lonzo.

While Ingram has proven at least to be a quality starter/rotation guy. Has shown NBA level skills.

And Zo has been borderline unplayable and has zero impacts on either end of the court when he’s playing. And is an abysmal shooter from any distance (up close, free throw line, three point line). But Ingram is the problem?

Can’t be an Ingram thing. Cuz he bothers nobody.

Is it a Duke thing? Probably.

Is it a Basa thing? Maybe on here. But outside of here niggaz do it too.

Lakers got a lot of funny style fans.

Says the funniest of all OKS NBA fans, they guy that doesn't even have a team and just roots for whatever team has Kentucky players.
2687447, The ol' "You don't have a team". STFU you clown
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Mon Feb-11-19 03:13 PM
You really can't say shit about me and hoops.

I watch way more hoops than you at any fucking level.

I don't give a fuck if you've been loyally watching the Lakers since you were 2 years old.

The fuck that gotta do with me?

You are routinely wrong about the most basic shit. And you get clowned on it by everybody.

And that makes you mad.

And that's the same reason why you ain't got shit to say about Ingram being at the very least "aight" and Lonzo being a loose stool sample.

2687448, you don't lol...
Posted by ThaTruth, Mon Feb-11-19 03:20 PM
talking about "funny-style" fans and you don't even claim a team.

Your opinion on NBA ball is irrelevant.

People that actually play and coach in the NBA think Lonzo is good.

2687450, You really have no idea that you sound like a fucking bozo... lmao
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Mon Feb-11-19 03:31 PM
“You need a favorite team to talk about the NBA.”
“What’s you favorite team dawg?”
“You got fat heads on your wall or nah?”
“What’s your license plate holder looking like fam?”

And Lonzo makes Ingram look like he’s on the brink of All-NBA.

2687452, okayplayer. n/m
Posted by ThaTruth, Mon Feb-11-19 03:38 PM
2687453, Zo averages more assists than Murray
Posted by bentagain, Mon Feb-11-19 03:43 PM
and is 4th in rebounds for PG

+ blocks and steals

"Zo has been borderline unplayable and has zero impacts on either end of the court when he’s playing"

patently false, which you would know if you watched games

IMO, he won the OKC game in OT...but let you tell it.
2687454, good grief

Trade Ingram
Keep D'Angelo
Draft Tatum

That's been my stance and I'm sticking to it.
