2632540, Is it really that painful to deal with OSU/USC fans complaining?

College fans will piss and moan regardless of how absurd their case may be. Some years it just works out where there is a clear cut #1 and #2 team. Many years it doesn't. A 4 team playoff is far more preferable (in my opinion) and equitable than the old system.

Do we really want to go back to the pre BCS era when championships were just arbitrarily decided? Where one year you could have 2 undefeated teams and then somehow one teams gets the slight edge over the other for unknown reasons (PSU/Nebraska '94) and then a few years later 2 teams split the title (Michigan/Nebraska '97) or the odd choice of FSU in 2000 over Miami & Washington. I could go on. The playoff does a much better job of eliminating those legitimate complaints/controversies. No rational college football fan will look back on this season and feel it was tainted by a biased system. The 2 best teams got in. You can argue the merits of UGA and 'Bama getting in, but oh well, at least the 2 best (going by their current resume) got in and 2 damn good teams will get a chance too.
