2758826, Short sighted was trading 90% of what we had

For Mr Glass

We got the chip and that was the whole reason we got him, so net W.

And I understood at the time that we were trading the unknown, for the known, to maximize Brawn's time here.

But it was also clear at the time that it was a huge gamble to give up as much as we did in terms of draft compensation- especially for a guy who was about to be a free agent.

Rob got bent the fuck over on that one. It's not like AD didn't already have a bit of an injury track record.

And we're now witnessing the ramifications of that deal in a serious way.

He came with a *very* steep cost that, even with that chip, was questionably high.

Were he doing Giannis type work "when healthy", then maybe.

But he's not, and it's not really close.

Dude's a clear #2, and the consistent "when healthy" qualifier that is attached to his name, along with that over the top pick haul, makes him a net encumbrance, instead of a net asset.

Everyone who expressed concern at the price tag at the time was considered crazy.

Well, this is why we were concerned about the price.
And those concerns were very much founded.
