At best they are picking their spots and getting goaltending. The first game, largely, was an embarrassment. The second game they traded punches at times and took over the third period. Did they limit Nashville's quality chances/second chances? Ehhhh, no more so than Nashville limited theirs. Goaltending was the difference. Murray had two weather two flurries where they had multiple shots, including second chances and ones where he had to make a stop on each side of the net. He played a great game. But obviously goaltending is part of the deal, I mean the Preds won Game 6 of the WCF and arguably some earlier games the same way, by absorbing the play when they had to and cashing in when the other team fucked up. I don't think there is anything cheap about what the the Pens are doing but at the same time if you were scoring these games like a boxing match, yes, the Preds would be up.
