when Spygate hit rather making Deflategate be the sword the NFL fell on
not only was a 4-game gimme useless in that division, but it was ultimately useless in the end
everything prior to 2007 I'm not even counting and even with that, I'd give him the nod or put him on par with the other greats

the whole NFL machine could've came crashing down. IF there was actually proof that the Patriots cheated to win multiple super bowls? It would be lawsuits on top of lawsuits

By destroying the tapes. All anyone can do now is speculate about what or wasn't on there...that's infinitely better than any concrete proof of cheating. There's a reason the owners love Roger, he's a straight company man who looks out for their interests 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

A better question might be…who is up there with him? Who is closest?
But for my money he is the best, and there are a ton of different reasons as to why.
