Adidas leapfrogged Under Armour to become the second-best-selling sports footwear maker in the U.S. this year through September, Schwartz says, though its share is still about a ninth of leader Nike’s.
2567615, Adidas has been killing it with all their top bball shoes
Posted by DJR, Fri Sep-30-16 08:02 AM
Under Armour needs more people. I think I saw that Curry 2's were the best selling bball shoe this past year. But Currys are the only UA shoes that sell, and the only UA shoes I've ever seen anybody hooping in. Everything else ends up in Ross and Marshalls for $35.
2567619, I was in Flight Club perplexed looking at the markup of NMD's,..
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Fri Sep-30-16 09:12 AM
Human Race NMD's, Yeezy Boosts and all of the Asian tourists copping.

I don't get the sneaker game anymore and I'm officially old.
2567629, yeah man. i tapped out a while ago.

old Tommy Hilfiger hats, Nautica jackets, old J.J. Fad posters, a broke down table that looks like it should be outside of a bodega, and like a Rocket Ismail jersey hanging up.

I thought, "goddamn, my youth is now a niche museum. WTF."
2567656, there's this temp at my office

black girl, early 20s.

she comes in the other day looking like yo-yo in '91. raiders snapback with the flipped up bill, big gold doorknockers, satin letterman jacket.

we old, breh.
2567824, Ha . There's a spot on Faifax in LA like that

Stumbled into it last week. Markup is ridiculous. Grimey Nautica pullovers going for $150 and shit

2567626, Grain of salt because it's Maryland, but I'd say 85% of HS team uniforms...

... are UnderArmour here right now. I just noticed it in our team's cross country meet last weekend. Every single team that rolled by was UA, easy to spot with the logo obnoxiously centrally-located. All the visiting football teams on campus too, UnderArmour.
2567635, The high school I coach at got new unis last year
Posted by magilla vanilla, Fri Sep-30-16 10:30 AM
and our vendor recommended UA- I think their bulk prices are cheaper than Nike or Warrior/NB

I will say the UA stuff is incredibly high quality.
2567636, Our school got a deal with them for every team
Posted by Walleye, Fri Sep-30-16 10:33 AM
The central location of the logo drives me crazy, but our new cross country uniforms are excellent. The guy who started the company actually went to school at the place I work for a little while, though he apparently provides EVERYTHING at the place he eventually graduated from.

You coach lacrosse, right? How's that going?
2567628, weird confluence of events

bball sneakers as fashion has decreased tremendously for all markets.

UA got the boost cause of Steph but it appeared they were on something. Their uptick plus Nike's slide in the basketball shoe as fashion market creates the "sky is falling" narrative.

Adidas has the pub of the Yeezys
but what's really moving for them?
Stan Smiths and shells.

weird cause I was always a shells dude. never had 1's

but now I look around and EVERYONE (im in NYC so I gotta consider my surroundings) is in shells or stans.

Got a shit ton of draft picks and young talent in hoops, lets see where this goes.
2567642, It's got the ahtleisure/hypebeast market on lock too

Aside from the Yeezy boosts, those NMDs seem to have fresh colorways and collabs coming out every week, and they're flying off of shelves.
2567645, Reintroducing the Stans was a great look for them.
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Fri Sep-30-16 11:20 AM
I see them everywhere.

I prefer the Rod Lavers.

But the Stans in the Rainbow assortment of colors are everywhere.
2567652, just gonna leave this here
