I guess I can say I am happier with Pederson than I would have been with McAdoo or Coughlin, but it doesn't excuse the horrible job done by the front office. I feel a little better after seeing the staff he put together. Happy with Schwartz especially, I think they have the pieces and the potential to be really good on defense. Also happy they kept Duce, Undlin, and the special teams coach. Who really knows whether Pederson will be good or bad, but we hope he's going to be good.

I haven't actually read this article (and not a big Hayes guy in general) but I agree they should have at least interviewed McDermott. Wouldn't be surprised if his relationship with Howie is partially responsible.
