2506722, Ragnarok: Vikings @ Packers SNF Posted by Marauder21, Sun Jan-03-16 08:10 PM
For the division title, it's the NFL's leading rusher and next great young QB in a place that hasn't been kind to them lately. I know a lot has been made about GB's offensive line injuries, but Rodgers is a more dangerous passer outside the pocket than anyone else. Some of the biggest throws he made in the first meeting were after the pocket had collapsed and he bought himself enough time to find a target.

2506748, Got to get more than three on that last drive Posted by Marauder21, Sun Jan-03-16 09:32 PM
Green Bay's got another possession and starts the third with the ball. Rodgers won't be contained for the whole game. When there's an opportunity in the red zone, you can't come up short at the end of the drive like that.

i figured as much. Seattle is looking like they're on a serious mission at the moment. So If i'm being totally honest, yeah, coming from the Purple side, there was a SMALL part of me that actually WANTED Rogers to be successful in another hail Mary attempt to potentially set the Pack up win :)
don't get it twisted though, like i said, a SMALL part....put it this way, i wanted the Vikes to beat Green Bay, but had Rogers somehow suddenly pulled out a win in the last secs, i would not have been crushed either.
but yes, damn its good to finally be the NFC North Champs looking down on the Pack. and besides, if we're gonna do anything else this year, i wanna do it legitimately by beating the toughest teams...ala "if you wanna be the best, you gotta beat the best. WHOOO!" ®Ric Flair...
so bring on Seattle ...yeah they spanked us last time, and they're hotter right now...but lets go dammit... HOPEfully Joseph will be back and healthy though...we will need big boy there in the middle....

Playoff match-up with the Seahawks be damned. I'll take the NFC North Championship. This is a building block....trying to establish a culture of winning.

2507131, Yep, my expectation was 8 wins Posted by Marauder21, Mon Jan-04-16 07:42 PM
Good (but young) LB's, a solid secondary, inconsistent WR's, Adrian Peterson coming back after a year and a 2nd year QB. There was no reason to expect a division title.
We already finished ahead, anything else is just icing on the cake.

2506889, I wanted Kendricks so bad in the draft Posted by T Reynolds, Mon Jan-04-16 12:46 PM
Not only because of the UCLA thing, but Kennard and him would have been an outstanding duo. Chris Collinsworth really was jocking the dude but he seems to be a huge contributor in his rookie season

i've loved Kendricks since the first time he stepped out on the field in purple. I don't watch college ball, so my first time seeing this kid ball was Preseason, and i was INSTANTLY impressed...one of my faves on the team. I'm psyched about a LOT of the young guys we have...
