..durant is certainly a franchise player. no, he hasn't won a championship (yet), but i'd wager that he has a better shot at winning one before howard.
durant made it to the finals and lost (like howard), but didn't pitch a fit and blame his team/org for coming up short. he accepted the loss and continued working to improve.
how did howard respond to that loss in the finals?
• complaints about team/org. • whining about injuries • created media spectacle (esp when it came to trade demands/talks)
he did everything he could to get out of orlando, claiming that he wanted a fresh start to show & prove that he could win a ring as the 1st option.
admittedly, he was never a good fit for the lakers (*not including the potential of the chris paul rescinded trade, but even then he wouldn't have been the 1st option).
bottom line: he's not winning a championship as the 1st option.
