he wanted it to be his team when he was at his peak, k, i understand, kinda. he wants it to be his team now, when he's half-dead and three-quarters buried? nah. if he wanted to "go out a winner," he could have done what dirk did, he could have looked for an opportunity to play a reduced role elsewhere, etc.

we are not talking about a guy who comported himself with class or who put winning above all else. he deserves to go out exactly how he is going out.
