Posted by mrhood75, Wed May-27-15 11:18 PM
So he's not on THAT level yet.
2450707, 2nd time...dwight balled last yr too
Posted by LAbeathustla, Wed May-27-15 11:21 PM
2450758, he didnt play great in 2013 either
Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Thu May-28-15 02:07 AM
shot under 40%, averaged four turnovers a game, etc. he did a good job getting to the line though, gutted it out, i guess.
2450708, He was trash in the finals. But he's been to the finals.

2450757, as a third banana in a role that didn't really suit him
Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Thu May-28-15 02:05 AM
remember when he was relied upon to play defense? bad casting, like devito as a southerner in big fish.

he played well in the WCF that year, but he was cheesy in each of the past two years for houston. didn't shoot the ball well, team lost, etc. last year he had howard playing well and let's not act like the blazers were the '72 lakers.
2451228, he wasn't the same after that artest elbow though

www.engadgethd.com - the other stuff i'm looking at
2450715, Nope, he don't deserve that right now. If he has a pg next year then ok.
Posted by Castro, Wed May-27-15 11:35 PM
2450720, i'll give him a pass tonight cause of the based god's presence
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Wed May-27-15 11:41 PM
but he shown suspect tendencies.
2450756, we know the based god caused him to turn the ball over, too
Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Thu May-28-15 02:02 AM
he tweets that "if he do da whippin dance he mark" and BANG, complete fallapart at the end of an otherwise spectacular performance.

i just don't understand why people are tempting fate crossing the based god. or he is a cruel, unjust, biased god, who did this just to favor his hometown warriors? because honestly the dance is not that similar.
2450727, His analytics-friendly game is also easy to game plan for
Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Thu May-28-15 12:01 AM
He is so good that sometimes even if you execute, he will torch you. But overall you blitz him on screens and shade over the top. If you can keep him out of the paint, odds are he will not be effective. We have seen a bunch of teams have success with this same strategy, although it's obviously not fail proof. I think if that if they got a real point guard, it might take considerable pressure off him as a scorer and a playmaker.
2451221, somewhere in Brooklyn guinney drowning his sorrow in artisanal microbrew
Posted by 40thStreetBlack, Fri May-29-15 02:13 AM
2451275, lol, probably drinking a triple imperial IPA to match his mood
Posted by Kungset, Fri May-29-15 10:45 AM
2451284, I'd put the odds at them drafting a PG at about 98%.
Posted by Frank Longo, Fri May-29-15 11:09 AM
For this very reason.

They'll nab Tyus Jones or Jerian Grant. Whoever they value more.
2451319, You know who I think would be a good fit for them? Delon Wright
Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Fri May-29-15 12:20 PM
I think 18 might be a reach for him but if they had their regular pick then he'd be a very good value there (I guess the Lakers have it). I do think he will go in the first round. He's an older rookie with good size who can defend. I think he would really flourish playing alongside Harden because he is also a kitchen-sink kind of guy. He's not super fast or explosive or particularly long, but he changes speed and direction very well. He could learn from the best in that regard. He can also score, they'd be a somewhat unconventional but intriguing combo backcourt. My only concern would be a little bit of redundancy with Beverley because Wright is also a defense-first guy with some clear limitations on offense. He has to be really meticulous on the detail side, which I think he is, and he absolutely has to improve his shot. If he can do that, he might be really well-suited for them.
2450790, he nutted up. no excuses.
Posted by Binlahab, Thu May-28-15 07:51 AM
he basically turned the ball over 50 times. unacceptable. i dunno why mchale didnt sit his ass

2450793, terrible game last night but Harden was good most of the playoffs
Posted by LegacyNS, Thu May-28-15 08:04 AM
Golden State was just better. I thought Romo played well enough for us to win it all last year but as a team we just didn't get it done.

2450794, broke the t.o. record in postseason by a few no? kind of a dubious legacy
Posted by T Reynolds, Thu May-28-15 08:05 AM
it'll definitely be in the annals of weird shit

not as weird as bron choking but one of the weirder moments that WILL be talked about since it involved sending the Warriors to the Finals for the first time since the 70s

OH and still no rings for D-Ho folks
2450798, They are alike in that you'd be elated if your team landed either
Posted by John Forte, Thu May-28-15 08:27 AM
I know I would.
2450823, people incessantly whine that a Tony Romo trade swung championships?
Posted by celery77, Thu May-28-15 09:21 AM
I must have missed that.
2451250, Neither plays defense
Posted by John Forte, Fri May-29-15 08:57 AM
2451256, ^^he's here all night folks^^
Posted by LAbeathustla, Fri May-29-15 09:12 AM
lmao..good one
2451258, Harden desperately needs better coaching to get his best
Posted by Lach, Fri May-29-15 09:14 AM
He's allowed to do too much one on one iso which is causing so many TOs. A good coach wouldn't stand for this.
2451320, I dunno man, he plays his game. I doubt it will change much
