He's amazing. Nothing can ever take away Game 7 Spurs, which should dead any stupid clutch narrative. However, he's just not quite as good, nor ever been, as his regular season numbers and his most ardent supporters imply. He's fantastic, he's so much fun to watch, and he's a top 10 PG all time. However, he's a little bit of a compiler and not in the Durant tier, let alone Lebron.

This postseason was him in a nutshell. It's not his fault that they didn't advance--that's on Doc the GM who completely fucked up their bench. However, he didn't do anything to stop the collapse either. He's the leader of a team that didn't take Game 5 seriously. He was on the floor and just whatever during that run in Game 6.

Simmons once said that the Kobe/Jordan question was settled when the Celtics came back from 30 down in the Finals, because Jordan would have never, ever, ever let that happen. That's where I'm at with CPPlea. He's amazing...but if he were that amazing, Game 6 would have never happened.
