I still don't think it matters than much.. here's why..

If they didn't inflate the balls at halftime the it just wasn't that important.

If they did:

Score with deflated "advantage": 17-7
Score without "advantage:: 28-0

So fine them, punish them, etc according to whatever the rulebook says but in the end NE was just better than Indy..
