It's patently absurd.

Per the NFL rulebook, a tampering with footballs violation carries with it a $25k fine. Hardly an NFL felony. But it's the Patriots so the media is blowing it up meaning Goodell will probably have to do something more than that. Even though there's been two reported incidents of people talking about tampering with footballs THIS SEASON that went fucking ignored. Because it wasn't the Patriots.
