of all my years playing I only once was asked to call a bean ball. That was from my HS coach. When the other team was running up the score. But before that it was all about safety. You ever see the Colorado Silver Bullets play back in the 90's? All girls professional baseball team. They played against Amateur teams, military teams, etc. They played like 40 games a season and won 10 or less every year. Their best pitchers were throwing in the mid 70's. I dont think they had anyone breaking 80 MPH. Just for comparison my HS team had 2 pitchers throwing low to mid 80's and the other 3 guys we had were throwing mid to high 70's. They had a 4 or 5 year run. With top level coaching. Phil Niekro was one of the coaches. If it didnt happen then. Its definitely not going to happen. As much as pitching is about mechanics its also about strength. Woman dont have that strength.

So no tellin what the next 50yrs may bring

If she is spexifically coached from age 7 like MoNe til age 22
I think 90mph is possible

but I think the 8th man in Nev lineup (cave) had hit a big HR vs philly if im not mistaken

Chicago does three things well:

1) They have *great* eyes/take walks

2) They run the bases well (its coaching as much
as it is speed)

3) Excellent pitching control

4) Outstanding defense (especially up the middle)

i dont think chicago got a player that can go yard at will.
we havent seen it from pierce jones since his first game where he blasted 3 HR

but are below Nevada and Korea.

Im still on the fence about Japans power. They smoked Mexico but also arent very consistent as hitters which was this teams downfall.

And had several kids who could park it

everything he hit in the Series went foul 500 ft

I believe he had 0 HRs in Williamstown. He was on some Ryan Howard slump shit/

I just ran the numbers

Chi hit 7 HRs over the series between 3 batters

Philly hit 2 HRs between 2 batters.

Chi played more games but if you take away 2 of their games they still hit more. Both teams had 2 games where they didnt hit any HRs.

Hondras hit 2 more

Jones hit one more

But w/e not really relevant

because no metrics will tell you the "style" of phillys hits (deep balls, rockets, etc) were of a better quality than chicagos

chicagos diminutive players basically let the hard heat ricochet off the bat to get singles, bloopers and balls that sputter through infield gaps (no prob with that cause a hit is a hit) but they hits dont be MONSTERS that come screaming down the line which takes a bit more steam out of the defending team. whereas philly and vegas DRIVE through the ball, chicago does that tony gwynn (rip) style batting where it's really like playing pepper.

The reason I had to put in teh stats was cause the video evidence is inconclusive. Whenyou hit 2 hrs all world series, sorry you arent a power hitting team.

Chicago has guys who can and did hit HRS. I didnt say their whole lineup was like Vegas, but they had guys who hit HRs in spots.

2 HRs is 2 Hrs.

Philly is not a power hitting team or they're just a terrible power hitting team

S. Korea deserved to win, because they were better, but
JRW's adaptability is incredible: they learn FAST. By the
6th inning, they had caught on to that S. Korean giant
and were smacking the shit out of the ball.
