and Bob said one of the biggest, most fundamental things he needed to get in place was keeping the players from reacting so emotionally to any kind of adversity, drilling into them that they need to trust in a system that will create chances and opportunities for a result, even if the team falls behind. He said that was by far the biggest thing he had to do, drilling a resilient mindset into the players and trying to get them playing less emotionally.

Obviously it's ridiculous to take that and apply it to the whole continent, but I think that's where the generalization comes from.
