Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce have been critical of the energy of Brooklyn Nets fans early in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series compared the to Toronto Raptors fans. Now the Brooklyn Nets’ Twitter account is joining the fray.
“#Nets fans take note- this is what a playoff crowd sounds like..set your DVD and take notes #RAPTORSvNETS - LR,” tweeted Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center senior reporter Lenn Robbins, who took over the club’s official Twitter account during the second and third quarters of Game 5 of the series in Toronto Wednesday night.

Just before tipoff, Robbins tweeted from his personal Twitter account: “Welcome to Air Canada Centre for pivotal Game 5..got to give it to fans here..they've been louder, prouder, better #RAPTORSvNETS”

I was just talking to this guy at my job this morning from Bensonhurst (knick fan). He says it's because it's the new brooklyn and it's too many hipsters. I went to 11 games this year and it's always a different crowd, and the hipster stereotype really doesn't hold that true. Most fans I think are either too cool to be diehard and loud, or just kinda new to the franchise. I got into it with two fans at the Warriors game, they just gotta get it out of us slowly.

1st quarter (if everyone's in their seats by then) and 4th quarter it's alright. but in the middle of the game it can get eerily quiet, especially against a shitty opponent. brooklyn doesn't really care about this team yet, they just like the gear and coming together to support something that isn't in manhattan. can't blame them on that, but it's really odd to watch.

one unfair advantage for the opposing team is that all the nets fans wear black, so if the opposing team has a distinct/brightish color (like the celtics do) their fans are even more visible in a sea of black shirts.
