It's hard to say, I mean sometimes it is super obvious like when Kesler seemed to have everything go wrong in the middle of his body or Gaborik suddenly couldn't lift the puck because his shoulder was shredded. With Sid like you said he seems to be skating OK and doing a pretty good job carving out some space, he just doesn't look dominant.

I think he has played through a good deal of injuries in his career, i'm more struck but his and malkin's inability to get it going at the same time and crosby's temperment. by now i figured he'd be above getting bent out of shape, then again that's partly his teammates responsibility to get in there and goon it up a little for him.
