Remember when Harper got dropped to 7th because he had a bad week? Well Denard Span has a .286 OBP and has batted lead-off every day he's been in the line-up.

Matt Williams is doing that bat where so-and-so is "our guy". Denard is out "lead-off guy", so he will hit lead-off. See also Dusty Baker and his entire line-up.
