Bradley shaded the first minute with an active jab and one hook...I take that over Pacquiao’s lefts to the body and one left upstairs. Second minute was even, not much happening. Bradley got in a nice shot or two at about 2:05 and decent counter at 2:25. Pacquiao landed two lefts at the end of the round (Lampley counted four, two *clearly* missed) and Bradley may have countered one with a right. Pacquiao’s lefts not enough to win the round IMO. Lampley bias is already making me want to vomit.

Don't think Pac's combos at the end of the round was enough to give it to him.

Pacquiao landed two very nice lefts early on. Don’t really count the body shots by Bradley for much. Then not much for a bit…Exchange at 1:45 was about even, maybe better for Pacquiao. Bradley with a left at 2:00, then Pacquiao landed back. Another left for Pacquiao at 2:30, a jab by Bradley at the end. Not a blowout but I would say decisively Pacquiao. 18 of 37...yeah right.

Seems to me that Bradley had the volume, but Pac had the better quality punches ... not by much, but enough to take the round.

Bradley landed to the body and I think the jab to start. The left from Bradley looked like the only other thing that landed clean in the first minute, maybe a Pacquiao jab. Bradley slipped at 1:15 by a mile, shut up Jim. Looked like Pacquiao landed a nice left at 1:30 though. Bradley nice right to the body at 1:50, and Pacquiao landed at 2:25. “Pacquiao got him on the top of the head with a left hand”—shut up Jim he missed by a foot. Best punch at the end of the round was either a right or a left hook by Bradley. Pacquiao missed/grazed that last left that Jim was gagaing over. Bradley round, close but clear.

“Timothy Bradley doesn’t move his head.” WHAT? Lederman just lost all credibility. Two decent body shots by Bradley. And another at 0:40. Couple okay lefts by Pacquiao. Nice hook by Pacquiao. Nothing for a while. Pacquiao landed a bit in a flurry at 1:40, Bradley a couple hooks at 1:50. Pacquaio got the best of the exchange at 2:20. That’s where Bradley hurt his foot, Max thinks he was wobbled. Bradley had a couple of good shots in the last minute but Pacquiao took over that last minute. Pacquiao’s round, most decisive one yet.

Hardly anything early, maybe one Pacquiao jab and looked like Bradley got a right in at 1:00. Pacquiao landed a pretty good left at 1:10…nope, Bradley slipped it, despite what Lampley says. Nothing for another 0:30, Pacquiao blocks, Bradley slips. Announcers ridiculously biased. Bradley landed that right at 1:50 or so. Both of them may have landed one clean cross in the exchange after 2:00. Big left by Pacquiao at 2:25—best punch of the round by far. Pacquiao got the best of the flurrying in the last 30 seconds, though not a lot landed for either guy. I’ll give it to Pacquiao, mostly for landing by far the biggest punch of the round.

Couple of nice jabs by Bradley. Both guys blocking almost everything for almost a minute—cleanest punch for a while was a another nice jab by Bradley at 1:30. Nice uppercut by Pacquiao at 1:50, best power shot so far. Lampley is being a schmuck, acting like Pacquiao winning the last minute is a forgone conclusion, then crediting him with a left that Bradley blocked. Nice right by Bradley at 2:10—Lampley silent. Nice left by Pacquiao at 2:20, and landed a bit in the follow-up. Bradley with two body shots and an uppercut, all clean, all ignored—and then a right. Uppercut by Pacquiao, and then a left at the bell. Very difficult round to score. Pacquiao probably landed the two hardest shots, plus a big body shot I missed, so Pacquiao by a narrow margin.

After 2 rounds Pacquiao has taken over the fight.

Halfway thru the fight I've seen Pacquiao with at least 2 clean power punches to the head and a nice body shot in the 6th. Where are Bradley's power shots? I have yet to see the defending champ in panic mode.

Rd. 4-6 Bradley was running from the defending champ.

Bradley right to the body at 0:30. Looks like Pacquiao got the best of the exchanges in the next 0:30, then a couple at 1:20, including a straight left. Bradley impressively slipped like eight straight punches toward the end of the second minute, then an exchange that seemed pretty even, not much landed, I think a Bradley up was the best shot. Nice Bradley uppercut at 2:05, then right to the body at 2:05, then another uppercut as Pacquiao landed a left. Nice Pacquiao left at 2:20, then another left and a nice right hook. 27-9 Pacquiao is absurd. Bradley uses jab and one hook to finish the round. Another close round that Pacquiao shaded in my eyes.

Bradley landed one or two punches to start the round. Great cross-hook from Bradley at 0:50 gave hime the first minute. A hook and then a cross from Pacquiao evens things out, then a strong left at 1:30. Bradley landed a right, Pacquiao landed a right back. Lampley is shameless, thinks Bradley has landed two good punches all fight. Think the hook by Bradley got around the guard at 2:00. Think Bradley got in a hook that was the best bit of the last exchange. Yet another very even round, but I think Bradley did a hair more.

Another close round. Although Bradley engaged a little more, defending champ had the best punch (head/body/head combo around 1:40) & Bradley began to run away again in the 2nd half of 8th round.

I still haven't seen Pacquiao in panic mode after 8 rounds, still haven't seen the challenger do anything to "take the belt from the defending champion.

Body shots by Bradley at the onset. The Pacquiao left split the guard at 0:25. Looked like a solid right hook from Pacquiao at 0:50, then maybe the right landed at 0:55. Bradley got in an uppercut, then a left to the body. Looked like Pacquiao landed about three lefts after 1:15, starting with the uppercut, but Bradley landed a couple rights in the exchange. Both guys land again. Uppercut by Pacquiao at 1:30. Lampley only watching one fighter. That was a good uppercut by Pacquaio at 1:45. Good left-body, right-head combo by Bradley. Then Bradley right-body, right-head. Then a right-left. Pacquiao with a left, then Bradley a counter right hook. Lampley aghast and then dismissive when Steward gives Bradley his proper due on his defense. Bradley with a counter hook, then an uppercut. Good Bradley uppercut at 2:35, Pacquiao with a good right-left right afterwards. Nothing huge at the end. I think Bradley landed more leather that round, but Pacquiao did land a couple harder punches. Still have to give it to Bradley.

Bradley ran the first minute of the fight. Very even round but Bradley DID NOT take control of the fight, that's why I gave it to Pacquiao. This was the sloppiest round so far. Defending champ has won 6 rounds straight, so he has all the momentum.

If the challenger wants to win the next round he has to land SOLID power punches & make the defending back paddle or run. And I still have yet to see a solid power shot from Bradley or the defending champ in panic mode after 9 rounds.

Bradley with a couple lefts and a nice body shot at 0:40. Bradley with couple of combos that were effective. Then a straight counter right at 1:10 and a counter left at 1:25. Lampley cops preemptive pleas for Pacquiao’s calves as Bradley loops a right around the guard. Wow Lampley gave Bradley credit for a left hook, then makes sure to give Pacquiao credit for a straight left. Bradley controlled the last minute and won the round decisively.

Bradley landed a couple good jabs in the first minute, but a good Pacquiao left at 0:50 took the first minute. Bradley did get in a cross too though. Think the left did land for Pacquiao at 1:10. Next half minute pretty even but Bradley with a good hook at 1:45, then two jabs. Bradley rolled with the right hook at 1:50 and I think slipped the left as well but hard to tell. Pretty even last minute: Pacquiao with a left at 2:20, Bradley with a left after, Bradley with the body shot at 2:40, Pacquiao with what looked like a right hook at 2:45. Why does Lampley cut off Steward when he’s praising both fighters to singularly praise Pacquiao, what the hell is up with that? Another very even round. Pacquiao landed the hardest shot so I guess I’ll give it to him.

7-4 after 11 rounds. Bradley would need a KD to win this fight. Very close round! Pacquiao was ineffective in the 1st half or round, but I gave it to the defending champion because Bradley ran in the 2nd half like he did most of the fight beginning Rd.3

A couple left hooks in a row by Bradley at 2:10. Bradley outboxing Pacquiao over the last minute. I see the last round as a clear Bradley round.

2311996, Draw
Posted by Lightfoot, Wed Apr-02-14 07:35 AM
The last time I scored it, I had Pacquiao winning 7-5. This time I saw Bradley edging the ninth--the most active back-and-forth round of the fight--which was the only difference on my last card and this one. But the ninth isn't necessarily the singular decisive round for me, because almost every round was close in my eyes--aside from Round 4 (Pacquiao) and 10 and 12 (Bradley), I could see a case being made for either fighter in each round. I think the judges were unfairly castigated for their scoring--they saw what most people didn’t, for whatever reason: a close chess match with even exchanges and even rounds.

If anyone deserves criticism, it’s the broadcast team, particularly Lampley. I am normally a huge Lampley fan, I think he’s fantastic at his job—insightful, energetic, etc. But his bias in this fight was egregious. He credited Pacquiao with dozens of punches that didn’t land. He glossed over dozens that Bradley did land. He fawned over Pacquiao--who did fight well--and pooh-poohed Bradley for not doing things that he *was* doing--making Pacquiao miss, fighting tactically, etc. He even *cut off* his colleagues’ sporadic praise for Bradley. As a play-by-play commentator, fairness is your number one responsibility, especially in a subjective sport like boxing, and Lampley was completely unfair.

In any event, the fight was a *good* fight. Both guys showed a complete skill set and had to work for every clean piece of leather. The offense was tempered, but the battle of wits was just exceptional. Boxing is a thinking man’s sport at its best, and both Pacquiao and Bradley really had to work to outthink their opponent at every moment. I won't be disappointed if the rematch is similar, even if it is controversial or hotly debated.
2314573, I had Bradley winning the fight.. I only asked people to do one thing
Posted by LegacyNS, Thu Apr-10-14 11:19 PM
Turn down the cheer leading section & watch the fight on mute. I guarantee the fight will be much closer than the 9-3 / 8-4 Pac scorecards people had initially. Watching the fight with the commentary lends you prey to the power of suggestion almost automatically giving Pac rounds that otherwise would have been more difficult to score. I could have lived with Pac winning a razor sharp decision or even a draw but I thought Bradley dictated the pace of the fight for the majority of the rounds while Pac was trying to steal rounds w/ flurries the last 30 seconds..

Ended up watching most of the fight on mute because the bias was clear. Pac made a huge mistake by thinking he won the fight early enough to slack off in later rounds, I'm not sure what his corner was telling him. Pac by SD, but not quite as mad at the outcome anymore.
2314612, Watched it on mute, by myself

And like I said after I watched it live high AF, Bradley DID NOT win more than 5 rounds. Bradley did not land any clean power shots, never seemed to have control of the fight, didn't have the defending champ in panic mode.

Ref did a great job, but it seems like the judges gave it to Bradley because Pacquiao didn't KD Bradley.

Man fuck this nice guy shit...everybody knows Vegas gave it to Bradley after that UD in favor of Pacquiao vs Marquez 3, which should have been a draw.

Saturday will be even more closer & I wouldn't be surprised if Bradley wins again because 1) he won't sprain his foot again 2) he's in his prime & 3) he's gotten better since this fight. Pacquiao hasn't declinded since but hasn't gotten better either.

Sincerely,

Resident OKPactard

PS. All u Pac haters need to give me some round #s where Bradley rocked Pacquiao, had control of the fight after Rd.3, had the defending champ in panic mode....time stamps or something?!

PPS. I predict 1M PPV buys Saturday.
