They paid Welker, they now need to pay Demaryius and Julius next year...
QB already makes a shitload, and they clearly had to upgrade from the team that took a complete shitbeating in the SB, so spending on Talib and Ware and Ward made way more sense... when you draft well at a certain position, sometimes u gotta let someone walk
