2240423, Who are your five NBA League Pass teams for 2013-14? Posted by Melanism, Thu Oct-03-13 03:22 PM
I just signed up and I can't decide who to pick.
I already have the Knicks despite the large number of national games (I don't have cable so I wouldn't have seen them anyway).
I'm in LA so that eliminates the Lakers and the Clippers.
|
2240424, Knicks, Pistons, Miami, Indy, Clippers Posted by Castro, Thu Oct-03-13 03:29 PM
I meant to put them instead of GSW

That's only if I had to pick 5. I get them all.

Trying to think of some teams that won't get a lot of national TV time.

2240493, Sixers, 76ers, Philly, The Tank, Delaware 87ers Posted by Bombastic, Thu Oct-03-13 05:48 PM

2240709, Gotta add the Pels, señor. Posted by Kajun, Fri Oct-04-13 10:01 AM
So you can watch first hand as that draft pick sinks into "project big man" territory of the mid-late first round.

2240494, Ppl actually wanna see GSW now Posted by Amritsar, Thu Oct-03-13 05:50 PM

I've never tried watching it through my xbox, so we'll see.
I'm OK watching on my laptop if needed.

2240519, probably Lakers, Warriors, Cavs, Nuggets, Rockets Posted by DJR, Thu Oct-03-13 07:47 PM
|
2240549, Spurs, Knicks, Warriors, Blazers, Pistons Posted by benny, Thu Oct-03-13 08:58 PM
still not sure on the last 2. Usually pick teams that aren't on cable too much (thankfully that includes my Spurs haha) and I kinda wanna see what Batum gets up to this season. I'll probably wait until early Nov to cop anyway so I have time to decide
|
2240601, Heat of course, then Rockets, Warriors, Nets and pacers Posted by mistermaxxx08, Fri Oct-04-13 01:04 AM
and I guess the Clippers because they are the only team in LA that i might watch.
|
2240606, That's six Posted by LA2Philly, Fri Oct-04-13 01:32 AM
>and I guess the Clippers
|
2240614, houston for sure and i already get knicks/nets Posted by Cenario, Fri Oct-04-13 06:26 AM
Other 4 would prolly be chi, gsw, lac and either mia or no.
Even though those west coast teams would likely be a waste

Safe to say I'm getting the unlimited package. I LOVE THIS GAME!!

2241003, Sorry the grizz don't play a traditionally fun style of ball Posted by ShawndmeSlanted, Sat Oct-05-13 11:24 AM
Purists like me might watch them- but be real. In general only their fans wanna see them. It's all good the mid and early 2000s rockets teams with Yao were good solid teams but they played a fuckin ugly style of basketball to watch that I wouldn't wish on anyone who wasn't a fan.
|
2248023, i guess the style is just dope to me Posted by hardware, Fri Oct-18-13 10:34 AM
i like watching defensive clinics beautiful passes and making plays out of virtually nothing
that goes for every sport

2240914, cavs, warriors, rockets, okc Posted by electricflower, Fri Oct-04-13 06:23 PM

2241180, Are you guys selecting teams now? Posted by LeroyBumpkin, Sat Oct-05-13 06:50 PM
When I login there aren't any teams to choose from. I know it's early but I've read about people having problems with League Pass. I want to jump out on any issues. I already can't login to the XBOX app.
|
2241202, Warriors, Rockets, Pacers, Carmelos, ...Heat? Posted by Nodima, Sat Oct-05-13 08:18 PM
don't think I'll be getting it though, PS3 doesn't have an app.

2241395, warriors, thunder, sixers, pacers and a wild card Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Sun Oct-06-13 11:58 AM
whoever comes out and has an exciting style of play would do it. i am also kind of interested in the bulls. miami is always fun to watch but they are on national TV a lot.

2247991, Thinking of getting the broadband version this year Posted by Oak27, Fri Oct-18-13 09:51 AM
But I've been reading nothing but nightmare stories online about buffering/connection issues and lack of good support. Is this the norm or just random people upset they have shitty internet and need to blame it on the NBA?
I'm gonna get it and primarily watch it on my desktop, on non-wireless internet.
|
2247993, It always works for me. Get an Apple TV and you're set. Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Fri Oct-18-13 09:54 AM
|
2248017, I'm prob gonna see how it works with my Chromecast Posted by Oak27, Fri Oct-18-13 10:21 AM
But as long as it works fine on my PC then I'm okay with that.
|
2248050, had no issues at all last season Posted by benny, Fri Oct-18-13 11:28 AM
watched it mostly on the Apple TV, but it works well in Firefox too on my macbook
|
2248156, it probably depends on what's going on your network Posted by Lach, Fri Oct-18-13 01:56 PM
that's what bothers me about the prospect of going broadband. If everyone in the house is online uploading videos, playing games online, downloading movies, etc etc while I'm trying to watch a game I can see me going Hulk. lol. That's why I've always been like F it, just subscribe to the tv version.
|
2248187, Yeah I ditched cable in September Posted by Oak27, Fri Oct-18-13 02:44 PM
which is the main reason I'm going with LP this year rather than just hoping there are games I want to watch on TNT/ESPN/ABC/NBATV every week.
|
2248190, been doing that for a couple of years Posted by benny, Fri Oct-18-13 02:53 PM
it's a decent strategy if you're into non-local teams and enjoy the fringier teams in the league. Made a mistake my first time having too many popular teams in my list, thankfully now there are more than a few interesting teams who don't show up on National TV that often. Cavs, Wiz, Pistons, etc And for the TNT/ESPN games there are "alternative" means
