Oscar bulled son to the ropes fairly early but he was highly ineffective in the pocket... It was a lot of clubs and rabbit punches that were slipped and blunted easily.

The only thing that Oscar got off was the jab early in the fight He did catch Floyd with one or two winging shots early as well but as soon as Mayweather had him timed...he stopped throwing it because he was made to pay everytime he threw it.

Oscar came into that fight easily 10-15 lbs heavier than Canelo did on Saturday.. He paid for that too... He gassed fairly early but his size and weight was a big difference early as far as corralling Mayweather to the ropes and initiating those wild flurries that whipped up the crowd..

A lot of that shit wasn't scoring...but was counted as such....


That was Oscar's blueprint... Rush to smother a guy who can pitch sharply from the pocket..

...and throw wide assed rabbit punches and hope to land something lucky...

Oscar always has had a very good left hand.
