speed on the base-paths, slap-hitting & outfield coverage had been fairly instrumental for this squad beforehand.
This is a pretty black team, might be the most black positional players the Phillies have had since the early 80's & come to think of it I can only really think of maybe 4 on the team ('Shake-N' Bake McBride, Gary 'Sarge' Matthews, Gary Maddox & Lonnie Smith) the 1980 Championship year.
