They can/should have enough for two max slots next summer, and I'd be shocked if they pass on younger stars to re-sign Kobe. He's not in any position to force our hand next summer. If they DO resign him without a significant pay cut while also forgoing signing one or two All Star caliber players, it won't be Kobe's fault, it will be management's fault. Shaq pulled that shit and got shipped out. Kobe should be no different.
