reminds me of the Kuertin/Safin/Hewitt years post-Sampras, and how agassi was still making GS Finals and winning a few AU Opens. after Safin and Hewitt beat Sampras in b2b US Opens, he still came back and won one more before calling it quits.

it took till 2005 for Roger to finally close the book on that era
