Richard Dunne has been told he's free to go at the end of the month when his contract runs out, as have Eric Lichaj ( =( ), Simon Dawkins and Andy Marshall (who didn't play anyway, but whatever). Shay Given, Steven Ireland and Darren Bent are being told to have their agents find a good move for them.

Villa are supposedly looking at Aaron Cresswell from Ipswich, and Luke Murphy from Crewe, who partnered previously with current player Ashley Westwood.

Meanwhile, Lambert is looking to extend/improve the wages of Christian Benteke and Andi Weimann, who were vital to our season. The latter's agent has been making noise in the papers, while Benteke has said that if Villa stay up (check), he'll stay on.
