I'm going in with a clean slate this season, since he's been bounced around and lacked a consistent role. A lot to improve upon after that opener, though. His first interception was atrocious -- staring down an out with his back on the goal-line and then soft-tossing a gimmie. One of those mistakes a quarterback cannot make under any circumstance.

He did have a few nice sandlot plays, running and throwing, but that's not something he'll be able to rely on against NFL defenses. Play-action showed promise.

Notre Dame should be a good gauge.
