and nnamdi....speaking from experience as a raider fan, the problem when your best player is a CB, he only affects so much of the game. If your offense sucks and the rest of your defense sucks, his impact is marginal. plus, when you have other holes to fill and that CB wants the same salary as a top paid QB, its a difficult financial decision to justify.

you don't have to look any further than last year's super bowl...who were the starting CB's for Baltimore and SF?

correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't remember any of the above asking for QB money? plus, none of those players are CB's.
