The guy was suspended his very first game at Pitt last year for breaking rules.

Had issues this Spring with having to block a lot more and Chryst having a lot higher expectations of him.

Have heard of some personal issues which you can expect from a 19 year old with twins who is also supposed to be a big man on campus.

Either way just another notch on what has been a ridiculous few years in Pitt sports. We have now lost our biggest bball recruit and fb recruit from last year.

I'm sure Graham was trying to steal him, but he never mentioned ASU, Pitt just said no before it could happen. He could have gone still but would have not been allowed on scholarship his first year and had to pay his own way.

And the minor scholarship reductions are over after this recruiting cycle

I would love to see a yearly game between State Pen and Pitt though...

State Pen needs to swallow their pride and just agree to a home and home.

3 years for now but hopefull on both ends to extend.

Joe Pa was a big driving force between the series ending he was the one who wanted 2 and 1 instead of a home and home

Also there was time (granted a long time ago) where even if PA didn't "belong to Pitt" they were at least as dominant in recruiting PA as anyone else. Western PA certainly belonged to them in a time of great football coming out of the area.

agreed, we've benefited a ton from Western PA football

Pitt always had great local talent on the team but there was never a time in the last 15 years where they put up a fence around PA so to speak.
