2150529, Julius Randle #3 Player in the country commits to....
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Wed Mar-20-13 12:19 PM
It was down to Kentucky, Kansas, Florida, and Texas.

He reminds me a lot of Terrence Jones.

Get familiar.

That's 6 McDonalds All-Americans in 1 class.

Plus the returning players?

2150539, congrats
Posted by Basaglia, Wed Mar-20-13 12:25 PM
ALL them dudes gotta leave
2150542, Most of them are pointing to staying.
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Wed Mar-20-13 12:29 PM
Archie and Alex.

WCS gave a half commit.

You know how those go though.
2150547, they leaving...won't go any higher next year
Posted by Basaglia, Wed Mar-20-13 12:35 PM
2150549, They might or they afraid to playing 2 years in the D-League..
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Wed Mar-20-13 12:36 PM
and ending up wherever Joe Alexander is.
2150621, A multi-millionaire instead of exposed in school?
Posted by SoulHonky, Wed Mar-20-13 02:33 PM
Do you think Joe Alexander ever wishes he stayed in school and ended up like Terrence Morris, going from lotto to second round?

Archie and Proythress could very well be back-ups next season. Archie almost certainly will be.
2150625, It depends how confident you are in your game.
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Wed Mar-20-13 02:39 PM
If you think you're good, you know you can be better.

For ever Terrence Morris, there's a Keith Bogans or Tayshaun Prince who declared, came back, worked and went on to have long NBA careers.

Archie was arguably the best player since Noel went down. He'll have the opportunity to start. Just gotta work.

Same with Poythress.

2150671, they leaving, dogg
Posted by Basaglia, Wed Mar-20-13 03:31 PM
2150700, And you can get better in the NBA.
Posted by SoulHonky, Wed Mar-20-13 04:09 PM
Bogans's stock was never as high as Proythress and Goodwin's was at times this year. Proythress still might be a lotto pick based on his potential and this being a shitty draft.

Prince still ended up 23rd in the draft. I just don't see why they wouldn't choose to learn the pro game and get guaranteed millions (since they'll both go in the first round) and get you to your second contract while at a younger age.

If you're confident, you'll think you can stick in the NBA so why stick around and prove yourself wrong in college and lose money?

2150566, and the mental make-up of a poor man's Tim Thomas
Posted by HowieDooem, Wed Mar-20-13 01:04 PM
Sad, really.
2150576, he just got back from injury
Posted by ShawndmeSlanted, Wed Mar-20-13 01:23 PM
Rocketscast guys think he will get a shot to compete for minutes now if he performs in practice
2150578, I was wondering what happened to him.
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Wed Mar-20-13 01:26 PM
Just looked on the NBDL site and didn't see anything.
2150567, That was obviously going to happen. As is Wiggins.
Posted by Frank Longo, Wed Mar-20-13 01:06 PM
UK coulda been blown out by Bob Morris, wouldn't have changed anything.

If Poythress and Goodwin don't leave, they'll be coming off the bench. Which might be undesirable for guys like that. Only WCS really has a shot at starting next year.
2150577, I say play them all. Have 2 teams, play pressure man to man.
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Wed Mar-20-13 01:25 PM
And get after it.

I think Wiggins goes to FSU.
2150586, It's ok Longo...you'll be partying again soon enough

2150668, only blue blood program not partying is UNC and everyone know it
Posted by Basaglia, Wed Mar-20-13 03:26 PM
i cannot WAIT until wiggs farts in roy's mouth. and if he gotta go to UK to do it...GOOD!!!! i don't care.

even my dogg K-Badd partying these days. LMAO...georgetown gettin better players...hahahahahaha.

2150673, UNC needs to find a niche.
Posted by Frank Longo, Wed Mar-20-13 03:34 PM
Duke generally gets guards and wings. It's what Duke does.
Duke also gets nerds. Again, it's what Duke does.
Georgetown generally gets bigs. It's what Georgetown does.
Kentucky generally gets one-and-dones. It's what Kentucky does.

The fuck is UNC gonna do? What's their specialty? Runners-up? Once this group of Sheed/Tawn/Stack/Vince retires, there isn't gonna be much pro-wise to point to either.
2150675, g-town gettin them late-blooming wings now, too
Posted by Basaglia, Wed Mar-20-13 03:39 PM
next step: elite wings...LMAO...everybody prospering but UNC.
2150682, Wisconsin'll keep getting those goonish pale whites.
Posted by Frank Longo, Wed Mar-20-13 03:47 PM
NC State will keep getting guys who like being talented but don't like working hard more than a few times per season.

WHO IS UNC GETTING?!
2150697, tweeners and d-league to NBA career backup-level guards
Posted by Basaglia, Wed Mar-20-13 04:03 PM
i'm being serious too
2150701, But how did Roy drop the ball so badly.
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Wed Mar-20-13 04:09 PM
They would ALWAYS have a 3 or 4 man elite class coming in. Now they've resorted to getting dudes here and there.

Their fanbase has to be mad. They don't even have a Ellington, Lawson type jumpoff to fall back on.

Everybody is doing well but them. Duke gets what they want. Even Florida gets what they want. Texas does them. Ohio State does work. Kansas.

But UNC gets left out in the cold. And it's not like they haven't won recently.

Roy must not be trying hard enough.
2150706, I hope they dont end up @ Duke.
Posted by guru0509, Wed Mar-20-13 04:24 PM
They deserve a more competitive basketball league than the bullshit ACC.

2150759, Pssh, by then ACC will have Cuse, Louisville, Notre Dame.
Posted by Frank Longo, Wed Mar-20-13 06:58 PM
And Pitt, if that counts.

Alongside UNC, an emerging NC State, an emerging Virginia, and the usual dumb but dangerous FSU squad.

It gonna be good.
2151012, Sad but true here ------->
