When he averaged 35 points a game, dropped 81 points, and dragged a terrible team to the 7th seed in the playoffs.
Right now? He has arguably the best talent surrounding him he's ever had, and JUST NOW got 2 games over .500 for the first time all season.
I love Kobe, and he's playing out of his mind, but for him to get it over Lebron this year would be crazy, especially given that 2006 was the only time I can remember a dude on a 7th seed legitimately deserving an MVP (that year, IMO it was Bron's or Kobe's...not Nash's).
