the inference was that the Clippers and the Thunder were going to represent the Western Conference and that the winner of the Western Conference would win the NBA Finals.
Change your diaper and try to follow.

Kyrie making sure he going to the all-star game with this game
Tristan Thompson been playing like a 4th overall pick ever since Andy went down. He's good

Dumb turnovers at crucial moments and driving and shying away from contact.
Dude go to the Foul Line.

That's dumb lazy defense. You know you ain't gonna rip him. Move your feet.

2117793, Come on Russ. A bad 3 and a turnover to end the half? Posted by BlassFemur, Tue Jan-22-13 11:37 PM
it would be nice if OKC could land a big and start bringing Perk off the bench. Not sure there's any options out there though.
2117813, yeah, OKC is still just better than the Clippers Posted by Bombastic, Wed Jan-23-13 12:02 AM
Chris Paul obviously is a crucial person missing this evening but I'm still not buying them being better than the Thunder in a seven-game series.
And Lawler please do not cop pleas about Chauncey being out of the lineup, what else is new?
There's no guarantee that dude's really ever gonna play again or be a difference maker on the floor if he does.
2117816, that Durant quick-release three is just so effortless-looking it's crazy Posted by Bombastic, Wed Jan-23-13 12:07 AM
I don't know that I've ever seen somebody make that shot look more fluid & easy with a defender in his face.
2117817, has there ever been a "pure shooter" as tall as him? Posted by veritas, Wed Jan-23-13 12:09 AM

2117890, His wing span is what allows for that ridiculous ability Posted by LA2Philly, Wed Jan-23-13 03:31 AM
Something like a 7'4 wing span combined with his already formidable height means you basically have to be at the top of your jump to alter his shot...which means if you jump when he jumps, you just have to hope he misses. It's ridiculous.
2117818, Blake is on tonight. Hitting fall away jumpers and everything. Posted by BlassFemur, Wed Jan-23-13 12:10 AM
2117819, Blake Griffin is having a really nice offensive game Posted by veritas, Wed Jan-23-13 12:10 AM
Clippers aren't forcing enough turnovers to play the game they want to play, though.
OKC shooting lights out.
2117821, he really is, he's been a been by far the bright spot Posted by Bombastic, Wed Jan-23-13 12:11 AM
Bledsoe having a tough night.
2117825, Bledsoe isn't a starting NBA PG yet Posted by veritas, Wed Jan-23-13 12:16 AM
that's for sure.
he has still shown some really nice things tonight, to me at least, just not starting PG level play.
2117828, how many more years do they have him under control, one or is he up? Posted by Bombastic, Wed Jan-23-13 12:25 AM
I forget.
2117829, next year then qualifying offer i think Posted by veritas, Wed Jan-23-13 12:27 AM
2117823, Half court offense hasn't been the Clips problem this season Posted by haj20, Wed Jan-23-13 12:14 AM
Defending the 3 has been a huge issue since last year
2117831, Grant Hill looking good as PG Posted by haj20, Wed Jan-23-13 12:33 AM

2117832, Blake is killin Ibaka with that first step Posted by BlassFemur, Wed Jan-23-13 12:33 AM
2117833, Clips have given up 25 three pointers in 2 days. Posted by haj20, Wed Jan-23-13 12:36 AM
You can't win like that.
2117836, 26 Posted by haj20, Wed Jan-23-13 12:38 AM
2117837, they played the 2 best outside shooting teams on back to back days Posted by veritas, Wed Jan-23-13 12:38 AM
i'm not sure this sample size means much.
2117841, agreed, the fuck they gonna do with some of these shots tonight? Posted by Bombastic, Wed Jan-23-13 12:45 AM
OKC is just that good.
2117844, "it's a make or miss league" Posted by veritas, Wed Jan-23-13 12:48 AM
cliche as shit, but when Durant is going off, what're you gonna do?
2117854, They've let teams like the hornets and cavs do this too Posted by haj20, Wed Jan-23-13 01:01 AM
It's a problem.
2117861, eh, not convinced it really is but maybe I watch too many Laker games Posted by Bombastic, Wed Jan-23-13 01:12 AM
>It's a problem.

2117834, KD just shootin, open or not Posted by BlassFemur, Wed Jan-23-13 12:37 AM
2117838, KD good lawd! Posted by BlassFemur, Wed Jan-23-13 12:39 AM
2117843, man that four possession sequence by KD was just so cruel Posted by Bombastic, Wed Jan-23-13 12:48 AM
bomb a three with a man on him, walk the next one up then quick-release bomb another three, come up with the ball a third time then find a wide open corner shooter (even if it was Ibaka) for three to get the assist, and then the last time when he sees people playing him up close just quickly go by the whole defense with two dribbles to finish with a vicious dunk on their heads as an exclamation.
Not that they were coming back anyway but they were cutting it to 6-8 here and there, there's no getting off the mat from that though.
2117845, If they called moving screens this tight in that Memphis series Posted by veritas, Wed Jan-23-13 12:49 AM
Clippers would've swept.
2117847, damn, lol, Blake out of control as shit on that run-out Posted by Bombastic, Wed Jan-23-13 12:52 AM
2117848, he thought he was throwing it to himself Posted by veritas, Wed Jan-23-13 12:53 AM
2117849, I dunno how anyone except Miami can beat OKC 4 times out of 7 Posted by LA2Philly, Wed Jan-23-13 12:57 AM
With Ibaka playing even better, Martin being a ridiculous 3rd option, and KD seamlessly adjusting to have the ball more in his hands due to Harden leaving...then of course there's Westbrook and their team D as well. Cotdamn, this squad is great.
2117852, I don't think Miami can beat them this year. Posted by haj20, Wed Jan-23-13 12:59 AM
2117853, That's the only squad that has a chance is what I meant Posted by LA2Philly, Wed Jan-23-13 01:00 AM
2117855, I think Miami's taking this season at about 60% speed but it will be Posted by Bombastic, Wed Jan-23-13 01:02 AM
a tough order to get The Thunder out of there this year I agree.
Lebron would have to beast out to a crazy degree.
I really wish they'd trade Wade, they're running out of time.
2117868, I don't know, I'm not buying it. Posted by haj20, Wed Jan-23-13 01:28 AM
If they make it to the finals it will be solely because of LeBron.
2117873, you say 'if they make it to the finals' like there's some east team Posted by Bombastic, Wed Jan-23-13 01:41 AM
they should be worried about beating.
2117878, I should've said win. Posted by haj20, Wed Jan-23-13 02:08 AM
2117856, Clips played well considering Paul was out. Posted by haj20, Wed Jan-23-13 01:03 AM
Don't really put to much meaning into this loss for the reason.
2117870, I don't think they played well Posted by Ownzdacourt, Wed Jan-23-13 01:32 AM
Offense was bad... lot of one on one ball.. no ball movement.. no passing...
2117877, RE: I don't think they played well Posted by haj20, Wed Jan-23-13 02:07 AM
Considering that they were playing without their best player, on the 2nd night of a back-to-back vs two of the fastest teams in the league, vs the best team in the league, and one of the best players in the league shoots out of his mind in the 2nd half...I'm not mad at their performance.
The weaknesses that we saw were a factor of Paul not being on the court. I saw great things from Blake on the offensive end, Caron played great D on Durant during the first half, Grant Hill looked very good as well...they made a final push and the effort was there the entire game.
I can't be mad at the performance against the best team in the league.
2117859, espn has declared Durant the best PURE SCORER IN THE NBA Posted by HecticHavoc, Wed Jan-23-13 01:09 AM
2117866, I don't think anyone who watches basketball thinks 2nd place is that Posted by J_Stew, Wed Jan-23-13 01:25 AM
Close. Now is he a better player than Lebron, nah, but the gap is closing.
2117860, Um.... Posted by murph71, Wed Jan-23-13 01:11 AM
Am I missing something? Paul didn't play, right?
Don't put too much stock into this game, folks...Still wanna see both teams at full strength....
But one things for sure...The Clips better hope dude is healthy...All this talk about them being the deepest team don't mean shit if Paul ain't on the floor in the playoffs....
2117862, he'll be out there, I don't think he coulda even saved em tonight Posted by Bombastic, Wed Jan-23-13 01:13 AM

2117863, RE: he'll be out there, I don't think he coulda even saved em tonight Posted by murph71, Wed Jan-23-13 01:17 AM
If Paul healthy, they are a problem against any team..
The problem is, he has known to be a bit injury prone...
2117865, oh it'll be a series but I'd favor OKC in six even with a healthy CP3 Posted by Bombastic, Wed Jan-23-13 01:24 AM
but I like the Clippers & would like to be wrong.
2117869, I feel like the Clips are the only team with the tools to upset them. Posted by haj20, Wed Jan-23-13 01:32 AM
I'd favor OKC in a series but I wouldn't be shocked if the Clips upset them. Who knows, maybe Vinny is saving some tricks for the playoffs. Ha
2117871, going back to last season they've both won 3 Posted by veritas, Wed Jan-23-13 01:38 AM
OKC is certainly more proven, and probably better, but i don't think the gap is enormous.
2117874, RE: going back to last season they've both won 3 Posted by murph71, Wed Jan-23-13 01:42 AM
