Hearing yes in a major way. They like their backcourt and feel that they are set at the five. Upgrading the 4 looks like the biggest priority ... but could also look to upgrade at the 3 (though Chandler Parsons is having a good season). Rockets still have a number of young assets to offer.


Dont know who we could get really. But will be interested to see. I also dont love the idea of fucking with chemistry now, but I know we arent title contenders now--so may as well start buildng some chemistry with a new guy for next year while still making the playoffs.

and even if there's an adjustment period like lin/harden, should you pick up that star-type this season, its better to start working on the foundation half this year and next, rather than training camp.

luxury he has? all the movable pieces he has, are cheap and can PLAY. if he doesn't find a deal by the deadline, when this team makes the playoffs, being this young, those pieces will be just as valuable in the summer.

I mean I like him a lot as a player, and I think he actually fits our style a lot more than say Zach Randolph...but he's not the automatic second option we're talking about. Milsap comes in and hes just another guy in our rotation that could be on a certain night. I was getting excited about a true #2 option or a 1a.

He's not a good shooter as PPat or Morris. Where I do like him is I think hes more of a natural 4 despite his lack of height and he could really help us on the boards.


Also, I really hate moving Delfino...I know he may be a rental anyways so hes expendable, but hes won us more than a coupel games with his shooting and has great swag off the bench.

personally, i don't think morey is going to do anything now that will jeopardize the rox chances of getting howard, in terms of salary commitment. that said, he might be content with asik in the middle for the foreseeable future, due to his great contract.

maybe millsap would just be a rental, as he's a FAgent after this year. but i'm guessing that free throw rate and emerging 3PT ability are pretty appealing to a GM looking for an upgrade at PF.

I'll take Rivers' potential as a bench scorer than just about anything that came after him. So far there have been no clear steals after #10 (maybe Sully) so the jury is still WAYYY out on this draft. Which after 1/3 of their rookie season is you know, completely normal.

I think youre still underrating the General a bit after watching him play twice in the past week. I think what he lacks in athleticism he makes up for in size and cleverness.

Particularly since Gordon has come back. It really helps him to have another ball handler back there with him. Hard to understate the impact of that.

Like I said before, I love the guy. His energy and shot making are excellent. If he keeps playing like this I will gladly eat my words about him being starter quality long term.

The problem is taking off-balance jumpers from 3 are ridiculously tough, maximum lift or not. All the 3's he made today were balanced and straight up...and he hit a couple from about 3 feet from behind the line so his lift is perfectly fine.

Lift isn't an issue on his jumpers, no one is going to make fadeaway fucking 3's REGARDLESS of lift. Taking balanced shots is the issue...hence, it's the same ole shit with Kobe because he's been taking and missing fadeaway bs from distance for the majority of his career.

He has excellent foot speed for his size, athletic, high energy, and has a jumper. That's exactly what we need from our 4. Obviously, it's a bit different when you are starting rather than the no pressure of simply being a foil, as you mentioned, but I think it can translate consistently.
