Happy New Year Bitches!!! Hope you all are doing fine and dandy (<--Will be Shawn's new team name). Well with 2013 upon us, we've come to the half way mark of the season (well 1 game away but it'll be official after tonight's games) and the year of parity continues as the entire league has double digit losses and only one has single digit wins. And WS just 'adjusted' the 11/26 scores from the NY/BK game so some of us got some holiday gifts/coal (yay for my extra 2 wins!). And shit's getting real so we got half a season to get right for the playoffs. So with no further delay:

Rankings-

1-Duval County: (19-11, 297, 4)
Fresh off an 8 game win streak, Frank's team has stumbled to two straight losses...to 300+ scores. Which seems to be the only way to beat this team and even then it's a 50/50 chance. Team sports the highest avg the league has ever seen this late in the season (297) and put up a whopping 317ppg in the 9 games prior to game 30. Team has put up 300+ in 13 of it's 30 games.

2-East River: (19-11, 268.6, 5)
Matty is taking this season personal...and winning his division in the process. A little luck isn't hurting though as a few dud games have still netted wins lately.

"Bitch back the fuck up because I'm struuuugg-a-lin'!!!" 6-7 since last rankings including 4L's in a row, his MVP Sideshow down and experiencing trader's remorse. If the Shark wasn't so far out in front of everybody, he'd be in panic mode, but as such, still best record in the league...for now.

Hit a rough patch in late December with a few injuries and losing 7 of 8 games but has since recovered for 3 in a row. Even with all that, still leads Walton by 4 and is tied for 2nd best record in the L.

The Middle F rotation of this team won't let it run off a streak but if they get hot, could be some trouble.

Well look at that, LABeat climbed out the cellar for a few weeks. Not for long if Ceej has anything to say about it. Yet catching CHI:ESL with a 7 game deficit is a tall order to predict. Maybe he should focus on getting to .500 first. Robe can show you how.

Wizards owner Ted Leonsis wrote on his personal blog that he hopes to have all of his players available for the first time this season on Saturday.

This would seem to indicate that Wall is tentatively targeting a debut on Saturday, but that's not a certainty. We should learn more of his status in the coming days, and even if Wall doesn't play on Saturday, he's clearly inching toward his return.

My boys have pulled it back together a bit since, especially Monroe. He went through a DREADFUL streak. And David Lee dropped a .2 FPPM in there somewhere. Sigh.

At least Cenario's team has slumped too.

Wizards owner Ted Leonsis hinted that Wall was targeting a Saturday debut, and that certainly seems to be the case as Wall has really ramped it up this week. We'll bring you updates between now and Saturday, but it looks like Wall appears primed to return in just a matter of days. He should be owned in every fantasy format.

For leagues that draft, 99% of mainstream sites steer you towards doing them live, over just a few hours. I’d argue half the fun of a league is in the draft. It’s the one time of the year when everybody is equal, where anybody can win the championship. I’ve done live drafts, and they’re great, but why not at least offer the option to not rush bad picks? To make more trades mid-draft? To not force someone that can’t make it to choose auto-draft? Let leagues customize how they draft players.
