2105089, Not what I'm saying.

I'm saying, let's not overblow the amount of dangerous hits a running QB takes over a pocket QB.

Life is plenty dangerous for pocket QBs. Ask Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.

The skill of your offensive line or the shittiness of your OC (Mike Martz) is a much greater threat to your health than whether you have 10 designed runs per game.

RG will be fine. He got a concussion early on because he was a rookie and didn't know what he was doing. As the season went on he got safer and safer on his runs. Sliding at the first down, or getting out of bounds instead of fighting for another yard.

Unless you think he's incapable of learning (a dumb prediction to make but go ahead), he'll be just fine in an offense because he's got GREAT potential as a passing QB, and 10 runs a game isn't going to end your career if you're sliding on half of them.

Sorry.

Is there risk? Yes.

Is it career ending and counter productive? No.

Not if, unlike Mike Vick and Vince Young, you're actually a skilled QB.
