...again after not seeing any UCLA recruiters on our campus, or at are games in 3 years...
I was told that basiclly if a kid is a qualifier...he can stay in the mix at UCLA...
which made me feel really good because that puts my kids on their radar...
Coach Mora is on board with that.
It's great because ANY student who is a qualifier (meaning completed 16 core classes....with a GPA that meets their SAT score on the sliding scale).... Doing that is really really hard. People have no idea how much pressure the average student athlete is under to be a qualifier.
Here's the thing....an orange county school..or a private school is going to have more resources to make sure guys get their and beyond. So UCLA sticking with guys from those schools was a safe bet.
When you don't have those resources..it's really difficult just to get those kids qualified....so if they do..they deserve a chance at UCLA....
