it's misleading because 90% of the time they were playing well ahead against teams that had no choice but to pass.....
when their defense has to go down hill on a team trying to smash mouth them....don't be suprised if you see a ball or 2 fly out for a fumble...

SC was set on DeAnthony playing CB..... he went to a school that was going to give him a chance to play offense...which for those of us who saw him play offense in high school made perfect sense...
I look at the Cravens kid SC has coming in to play safety.... in his last high school game though I saw what Cravens could do as a WR...and a RB.... If I were another school...like OREGON...I'd be in the kid's ear on some "see how DeAnthony did when he went somewhere to give him a chance to play offense"

in many ways kstate was an ideal opponent for oregon. i'm still skeptical of how oregon's offense would function against defensive front as big and fast as Bama. not saying oregon couldn't win that game, but if you play the game ten times, i still like bama's chances.

like I'm still mad we lost to Stanford because we refused to fucking PASS the ball. Most talented receiver/qb pairing we've had in YEARS and we insisted on running right into the teeth of Stanford's D.
If we had passed a little more - and no, they didn't have the penetration to kill our passing game contrary to popular belief - we could have won that game going away, and I think any given night if we come out ready to throw on first down, *this* roster is capable of beating anybody in the nation.
