and wanting a dog that can potentially go hunting, as this is a hobby i'm looking to get into.

my first dog love is pit bulls, but i can't really get a pit right now for a whole lot of reasons. especially considering there is a real possibility i'll be moving to denver at some point in this dog's life, and as i understand it denver's breed restriction is so severe that pits are confiscated and euthanized.

edit: and my love for dachsadors just comes from seeing one that a hillbilly selling sweet corn had. they're a hilarious little mix.
