2100186, Arbitrator's proposal due in a couple of weeks....

The rams are 30th in home attendance this season....a season where they improved pretty drasticlly..... 30th in attendance...

again once the arbitrator submits his proposal .... both the city governing body has to approve it and have a way to pay for it that is agreeable to the voters from that 30th in attendance group of people.....

AND....

the abritrators proposal must be agreeable to the Rams...AND fulfill the leases stipulation that the new statdium will be among the top revenue producers in the NFL...

I don't believe either one of those requirements will be met by the arbitrator's proposal..

St. Louis has not shown the type of desire to keep the Rams as say the Raiders did by agreeing to expenses to keep the Raiders while cutting schools and police and fire....

I just don't believe St. Louis is going to do that right now based upon the level of support they have shown.

Nor do I believe that Kronke will move off of the stipulation that the stadium has to be top tier...

Why would he?

After the arbitrator's proposal is released....That is the final official function that has to take place before any discussion of the lease can happen..

yes the Rams are under that lease for 2 more years..

but..

if they are not going stay past those 2 years....the opportunity to buy out the rest of the lease begins once the arbitrator's proposal can be rleaed...

the value of that buy out to the city of St. Louis is higher sooner rather than later. If St. Louis is resigned to the fact that they are not going to be able to provide facilities that will warran the Rams staying, there is no reason to delay the divorce. They already have the 30th rated home attendance....next season would be worse and history shows that a team plying in limbo will not be successful..

A buyout of the lease after the arbitraitor's proposal is a possibility....the Rams could agree to move to the new Farmer's field which is a go on construction, and play next season at the Rose Bowl...

the opportunity for Stan Kronke would honestly be too good to pass up..

not saying it will happen as soon as next season.....but the next season is the soonest it could happen because the official negotiation process as far as the stadium in St. Louis is concerned ends very soon.

** the Rams 30th ranking in home attendance is based on 7 games only because of the london game.... But in 2011 they were 31st in home attendance, and in 2010 30th**
