2099678, Is a DAL L tomorrow Tony Romo's and/or Jason Garrett's last game with the Cowboys?
Posted by bentagain, Wed Dec-31-69 07:00 PM
just some good old NFC East pre-game hate

since I won't be able to watch the Iggles officially eliminate the Ginas

the game I WILL be watching is the Girls/Racists on SNF

for all the shit the Iggles get on this board

the similarities are ironic

not to digress into that conversation

but with another playoffless season

Jerruh can't seriously bring both of these guys back next year

of course they could win and make the playoffs

and I'll be here to collect an L (unlike some of you bitches)

another post alluded to the racists hate for the Iggles

and it's funny, that I continue to root for RG3

and really feel no animosity toward that organization at all

probably because I forgot about them

welcome back racists

So, is a DAL L tomorrow Tony Romo's and/or Jason Garrett's last game with the girls?

Poll question: Is a DAL L tomorrow Tony Romo's and/or Jason Garrett's last game with the Cowboys?

Poll result (6 votes)
Yes to both (0 votes)Vote
No to both (2 votes)Vote
Romo fo' life (4 votes)Vote
Ginger is an offensive genius (also fo' life) (0 votes)Vote
It's still Jerruh's' fault somehow (0 votes)Vote

2099689, I wouldn't say last game but Jerry could start operation plan B
Posted by LegacyNS, Sat Dec-29-12 12:27 PM
I think it's safe to say it's pivotal for both..

what would that B exactly?

hence the reason for the post

I'm not sure what a plan B is even referring to as far as a head coach

you move on or you don't

and as far as grooming a QB to takeover for Romo

it's definitely overdue

I think Orton? is the backup

I know Romo had the collarbone injury

http://www.iviewtube.com/v/171080/tony-romo-injury-breaks-collarbone-vs-giants-video

I would have thought the girls would have addressed that issue by now

as is, he's still nearing the end of career age wise anyway

it looks like they have a young quality RB in Murray, and WR in Bryant

so there are some pieces to build around going forward

quick glance at Wikipedia

the last QB they drafted was McGee in 09'

and even that was a 4th round pick
2099759, we know its vicks last game as a fleagal...what about reid?
Posted by LAbeathustla, Sat Dec-29-12 05:09 PM
why you worried bout the boys? you scared son?
2099761, why you worried bout the boys?
Posted by bentagain, Sat Dec-29-12 05:18 PM
well if you read the post

it's the only interest I have in tomorrow's schedule of games

purely NFC hate

I'm hoping we can eliminate the Ginas (I think I wrote that)

but the Iggles season has been over for about a month now (I'm sure that's been written in other posts as well)

I don't think there is any question about Vick and Reid moving on from PHI

I also wrote that I think the similarities between the 2 are ironic

are you scared to the answer the question

with an L, and another playoffless season, does Romo and/or Garrett go

simple question
2099760, win or lose tomorrow...Tony is about to get breaded out...
Posted by Dstl1, Sat Dec-29-12 05:16 PM
anyone who thinks otherwise is being silly. I can't/won't say on Garrett. I think it would depend heavily on HOW the game was lost. Tony, though is gettin that dough.
2099766, You think a 32 Y.O. QB that hasn't made the playoffs since 09'
Posted by bentagain, Sat Dec-29-12 05:31 PM
is about to get 'breaded up'

even with an L tomorrow?

I think that's silly to say today
2099769, okay, I see you're in it to debate...as always...
Posted by Dstl1, Sat Dec-29-12 05:36 PM
but I won't. Hopefully we both stay in good health and this offseason win Jerry breaks him off with the dough, I'll up this. THERE IS NO ONE WE CAN GET TO START NEXT YEAR THAT WILL BE BETTER THAN ROMO.
2099773, your reply sounded like your opinion, I wasn't aware it was indeed
Posted by bentagain, Sat Dec-29-12 05:51 PM
fact and not open to debate

your reply also didn't reference DAL doing the 'breading up'

it read like you were saying regardless of tomorrow's outcome

someone was going to throw 'bread' at Romo

which also suggests a substantial amount of money AND years

which lead me to question that decision

based on his age and the current outcome of DAL seasons

also

with examples such as SF and SEA

I think they 'breaded up' their QBs

only to find more success with somebody brand new

and an unproven commodity
2100844, oh, and he's not a FA until 2014
Posted by bentagain, Mon Dec-31-12 08:58 AM
so there's that
2100859, but they want to extend him so he won't be that big of a cap hit...
Posted by Dstl1, Mon Dec-31-12 09:33 AM
in 13...like they did Demarcus and a couple of others. So there's that.
2099763, They've both saved their job for next year already.
Posted by Frank Longo, Sat Dec-29-12 05:27 PM
The rest of the NFC East, rejoice.
2099767, RE:saved their job
Posted by bentagain, Sat Dec-29-12 05:32 PM
assuming it was in jeopardy

when exactly did that happen?
2099802, *hits brakes* Do you think Garrett's job WASN'T in jeopardy?
Posted by Frank Longo, Sat Dec-29-12 08:04 PM
2099881, I thought he should have been fired after last season
Posted by bentagain, Sun Dec-30-12 08:55 AM
that timeout on the FG and then miss

factoring into the NYG making the playoffs, etc...

is Mark Sanchez's butt fumble for coaches

and then you look at what they were doing under Wade Phillips

at least they were making the playoffs

which with an L today

makes 3 years with Garrett

and no playoffs

first, I appreciate you directly answering the question

but having said all of that

with an L today

I don't think he did anything this season to save his job

I think his job is riding on this game
2099775, what a weak post. tony romo is the only reason they aren't the eagles.

2099784, ^^^^^^

Romo last 7 games (2nd half of season)

2612 yards, 17 Td, 3 Int, 219/328 (66%)

Lost to ATL by 6, The Skins by 7 and N.O. by 3 in OT

In that span, two OT wins in which Dallas was losing and had to come back and another comeback win last second fg vs Cin
They were also losing to Philly in the 4th qrt so that is 4 4th qrt comeback victories if you count the OT games, none of what had to do with Romo playing bad(the team being down)

The team plays a lot better when they go hurry up and Garrett has his playcalling duties stripped so that should tell you what you need to know

All of this with a putrid O-line and 6 starters missing on defense and DeMarco Murray also missing some of that

Our leading rusher has 587 yards on the season and Dallas is 31st/2nd to last in rushing offesne

>
2099804, Tony gets done dirty for all that he does for this team.
Posted by Pinko_Panther, Sat Dec-29-12 08:22 PM
Also, Cowboys fans who don't want him don't deserve to be
Cowboys fans at all.
2099882, So they went 4-3, and the games they did win were by the skin
Posted by bentagain, Sun Dec-30-12 08:57 AM
of their teeth

and the offense looks better when Garrett is less involved

you're excited about another year of maybe being over .500

that's your ringing endorsement for bringing these guys back

?
2100155, Eagles make the playoffs this year if they have Romo.
Posted by Pinko_Panther, Sun Dec-30-12 05:28 PM
2100836, but DAL didn't with Romo.
Posted by bentagain, Mon Dec-31-12 08:12 AM
don't see how that's a logical reply

AT ALL

you put Romo behind our line

and he would have been on the sideline same as Vick and Foles

keep tryin' buddy
2100800, as Costas pointed out post-game: Romo lost 6 of 7 elimination games.
Posted by WarriorPoet415, Mon Dec-31-12 01:58 AM
When it's win or go home, he'd rather go home.

It don't get no plainer than that. But y'all keep ridin' for your boy.

As a Skins fan, I don't mind.

Romo getting the Bron pre-ring treatment

There aint a QB in the league who would've pulled out a W last season playing behind that O-line against the Giants last season

Dude was getting hurried/hit every damb snap almost

The line a lil better this year but its still miraculous what hes been able to do with that offense considering how trash still r

Behind peyton, brady, rodgers, brees and Ryan

But he right there

I kno he at the top of the list as far as the 2nd tier QBs like Eli, Flacco, Cutler

U put him on the ravens and theyre a lock for the superbowl

Romo has everything it takes to be a champ whether this team
gets it's act together or not.
2099811, BTW, even as someone who thinks Romo is overrated...
Posted by Frank Longo, Sat Dec-29-12 08:53 PM
... it'd be foolish to think the Cowboys will go with someone else for the next several years unless Romo has a total tankjob of a season.

While Romo is always reliable for a clutch INT or hilariously bad decision in a crucial moment, he does enough good throughout the year that the Cowboys front office obviously needs to worry about their other personnel problems before replacing their QB.

Even people who viciously hate Romo surely realize that the Cowboys are unlikely to replace him, because, well, who's out there that would serve them better for the next few years? Romo will be their QB for the next few years, unless he has a late-Favre-level regular season.
2099816, 4th and 10 TD to Miles with seconds left in the game isn't "good" clutch?
Posted by Pinko_Panther, Sat Dec-29-12 09:01 PM
This is a team that hasn't led all year going into the 4th
and, yet, they are in position to play for the NFC East title.
Romo is an elite QB, my friend.

2100749, they have similar career accomplishments..
Posted by LegacyNS, Mon Dec-31-12 12:19 AM
I'm just sayin..

You guys are putting Romo way up on a pedestal that he doesn't deserve. He throws for a lot of yards & a few TDs on his way to winning 6-10 games but nothing substantial in the playoffs.

Honestly? Big deal...

In the end, that just doesn't count for that much bro. At least not with this franchise.
