On some diary room laugh at everyone for the foolish trades they just made to better our teams. I basically got Iverson for Eddie Curry and you got Deron Williams for a declining Okafor. Time flex muscle and make enemies...or at least stir things up.

So now I have stuckey sitting at the end of my bench which makes one of my guards expendable...but if one of them gets hurt..its trouble

All along I planned to trade for a guard as I knew as the season went on, my low minutes high fppm guys would become less and less reliable.


There were only a few teams during the year with the abillity to trade a surplus guard.

First Shawn and I couldn't find a trade I liked.

TJT was a possibility I think but I never made a real offer since he'd need a guard who plays minutes back.

I really wanted to make a trade with LABeat for Sessions and Barea, but he kept barking at my offers and then traded Sessions away.

So looking at the landscape, Cenario was the only guy left and we were discussing Pierce and Hill for Javale, but Cenario wasn't comfortable with that based on Hill's recent rise. He then suggested adding Ibaka and Gortat, which actually makes sense for me since Gortat is FC which I would have needed after trading Javale. He's been all over the place this year (Gortat) but last year was high 1.2s and there's not much else in Phoenix so I was fine with adding them. Watson was a throw in, his numbers look great but I think Watson's going to have rotation problems going forward and I was more comfortable keeping Bayless over Watson.

The way I see this is yes Javale is the best player in the deal, but he's been in the teens for minutes some games, and I'm top 3 in wasted minutes this year. Pierce should be solid as my last forward to prevent wasting any minutes (which is the worst thing you can do in this league imo). Gortat and Ibaka to me is a wash, and Hill is a big upgrade and plays a ton of minutes which I desparately needed.

Summary- it's the kind of deal that rich teams have the luxury to make and other, more desperate teams have to make

i made the trade counting on phx being in shambles for the rest of the year.

obviously i wanted bayless over watson. We'll see if he still gets some minutes.

but you know i love having manu on my team and he's an injury concern i value more highly than most everyone else.

While it's unlikely (I hope) for Dirk to be out again, I'm more wondering about the rule.

I know it's stringent that we only have 3 sources (we'll look into adding maybe 2-3 more this summer) but if they don't give a timetable and the initial diagnosis didn't say multiple months or enough weeks to cover 2 mos (6-8 weeks would work) then unfortunately, you have to eat the injury.

you expect his absurdly better shooting to continue? i don't. his A:T might improve a little, but he's been very careful with the ball. his defensive metrics won't improve and his rebounding might be worse.

at best, it's a wash in per minute value with 5 more minutes. there's also a good chance his shooting decreases now that he has to run the offense also and his turnovers increase while his assists don't change to offset that.

plus, incorporating amare in a week will make it all even more interesting.

So when it comes to Kevin Love to play, I got 3 forward mins left.

How can I fix this shit?

The way it's spouses to work is it corresponds with the game # for each team so if its game 10 it should be the wolves as Knicks 10th game no matter which day it takes place. Look at nba standings some teams have played more teams than others. Of course Ws always screwed up. This year the 2 makeup games due to weather are still screwed up...


Anyhow if you have love high enough in your lineup it doesn't matter. If there are only 3 minutes left when he plays, he comes in and usurps all previously played f or conures (depending on how you have things set).

and then again, the rule says a player has to be out 4 weeks or more and your link and swipe said 3 weeks clear as day.

So maybe I just figured you'd be smart enough to figure it out on your own.

far down the season the game is postponed.

Had this game been rescheduled for late March, I could see them keeping it as it was but since it was just a few weeks away, it makes sense to adjust it. Normally they do it a lot faster though.

Wonder how long it'll take for the Bulls/Pacers reschedule.

they didn't do that. they treated it as a game on a different day (game 13 instead of it's originally planned game 2 or whatever it was) and bumped other games back (that I'd still have lost), but all well after the fact. that's a new and weird way to do it.

they should have kept it at game 2 from the jump with DNP--rescheduled until it was played. Or, if that wasn't feasible, inserted it when it happened from the jump. but to discover a month later that all of the scores were off? that's bullshit. that's atrociously badly done.
