Davis and Lillard are going to be in a huge battle for the No. 1 pick. Waiters, after a rocky summer and pre-season, is starting to round into form. All year folks thought we were overrating Lillard ... now it looks like we underrated him. Too early to tell for super young players like MKG and Beal. The play of Andre Drummond has to be encouraging to the Pistons. I wasn't much of an Austin Rivers fan coming into the draft and I still may have overrated him. He's been flat out awful both in the pre-season and regular season. Also been disappointed in the early returns for Thomas Robinson. The Mavs' Jae Crowder is the early pick for steal of the draft.

Beal at least has the upside of waiting for his pg to comeback.

Jordan Crawford ain't gonna let up scoring either so the numbers will look crooked.
The one thing that works for Austin in this is he seems like the type that will take it personal that people think he's some Bullshit and try extra hard. Beal seems like he'd get emo.

Now if Ford said they both stink this post wouldn't have been made. But the NBA media have continued to make excuses for Beal and diss Rivers even though Rivers had a slightly better freshman season and neither one has played well so far this season. Just seems like they like Beal as a person more than Rivers which is stupid and shouldn't be used in developing a bball opinion

Unrelated to Ba's dukie agenda. I'm a Hornets fan, so unlike the rest of you, I will watch most of his games this year. And we've had plenty of busts over the past decade, so I am no stranger to them.
One thing I will not be doing this year is picking apart box scores for a 20 year old rookie with one year of college ball under his belt while learning a new position. I will be WATCHING. Based on your statements so far, almost every player in the league is a bust in their rookie year based on statistics alone.
Whatever happened to player development? How are you making declarations on this kid with practically ZERO data? He is passing my eyeball test to this point, and is improving every game. The fact that you don't see it is fine, you aren't paying attention like I am. The box scores will pile up, his numbers will improve steadily and by year 2 or 3 he will be at minimum a solid player and you will be silent.
