2026269, Nah, actually they really didn't

McNabb started here for 12 years, longest tenured QB of his generation to play in one place for that long without actually winning a Super Bowl, third-highest paid player of the decade, eventually his decline became obvious, they traded him to the place of his choice and then he came back to a standing ovation pregame.

In a brutal sport like football where players far more legendary then him get traded & discarded annually, he was actually treated fine for anyone not trying to throw a pity party.

Uh, Randall had been beat the fuck up with two different year-long injuries & his play had declined as a result so he retired.

He retired as an Eagle in a season commensurate with his jersey number.

Before he did the Eagles put him in the game for one last scramble in the Detroit playoff game & he got a standing ovation in the Vet after they called time-out just so he could be announced one last time after the first down.

He then went home to Vegas with his wife & worked on his tiling business for a couple years until he got the call to be a back up in Minny.

When all that stuff eventually ended, he came back to retire an Eagle again & was honored at halftime in the Linc.

Actually, Ron Jaworski caught more hell than Randall & probably even McNabb ever did (McNabb was bigger on a national scale & there was more media outlets by that point). He got booed fairly regularly while taking the most sacks anyone ever did in a season in his last year there with a shitty team. He even was shit on back when he was taking them to the Super Bowl.

>WOW @ the thought of him being drafted by Cleveland

or.....he would have been drafted by a shitty organization & caught blame rather than went to a good one & succeeded.
