1927454, WWE doesn't even sell $100M in merch all year. Posted by Expertise, Wed Feb-29-12 12:19 PM
So there goes that theory.
And considering due to the Attitude Era and all of the negative connotations for pro wrestling that WWE only draws half of the sponsorship revenue for a channel that gets half of it's ratings, you better believe they care about ratings. If WWE was to somehow drop to a 2.0 consistently, USA would probably dump them. That campaign that the Media Research Center did a few years back did more damage to WWE and pro wrestling as a whole than a lot of people know.
2011 was the first year that WWE legitimately lost money for a year since pre-Attitude Era. Sure; they'll survive, and they have plenty of money, but business is clearly down. _________________________ http://expertise.blogdrive.com http://twitter.com/KMBReferee http://www.formspring.me/KMBReferee
