Fort Myers, Florida is the minor-league capital of the world. It wasn't terrible. Maybe it was just cool for me to see some live basketball at that point. But it was definitely not NBA-caliber ball. I can't even remember any players of note. To be honest, having a local college squad is probably more compelling and that's independent of the quality of play.

Ft. Myers also had an Arena League team, a minor league hockey squad and Minnesota Twins & Boston Red Sox spring trainin/minor league squads.
