i feel like the fans were cheering because they think hes saying he would give his life for his team. thats what they arent getting. he doesnt want to die for them.

i knew it was dangerous when i played, and if something tragic had happened and id died playing, i died doing something i loved. doesnt mean im willing to risk my life for the jersey i wore, even tho playing the game itself is a risk.

EDIT:. i also dont believe in an afterlife,and my time playing the game was right up there with what i would consider heaven on earth. ao theres that too.
