this whole business with the Cavs has made me really appreciate (though still utterly hate) the Miami Heat Death Star's accomplishments in retrospect.

LeBron + Wade alone, from a personal level, held much more continuity over time (an important quality of successful basketball teams) than LeBron + any member of this Cavs team not named James Jones. There was a level of trust that allowed those two + Bosh just do what they needed to do that isn't quite there with the Cavs IMO.

also has me looking at the Celtics Big 3 a different way. It was never really negative, but there was a level of complement that made that core work.
