While Kawhi was the leader of this series, he didn't play wingman to anyone on this team this year. Spurs were a team through and through with no true stand out star. Spurs definitely don't reach the finals without Duncan (if you watched the Mavs/Blazers/ and Thunder series it would be painfully obvious that Duncan wasn't playing wingman to anyone).
So yeah, looks like your discussion will only take place between you LBsmostfurious, and the small minority of predictable Duncan haters.
